When we decided we would like to change our window coverings I was nervous about the commitment and cost.  I knew that whatever I chose had to be something that would last and that I would be happy with for a very long time.

The huge windows in our home give us such a beautiful view, I wanted something that would still allow us to see the view partially while giving us relief from heat or cold and of course privacy. Kerri and Heather were very conscious of what I was looking for and were very supportive. They wanted to make certain we were going to get a product we would be happy with. This was true of both the top down bottom up blinds we got first for the bedrooms, office and kitchen and then with the Pirouettes on the large windows in the main areas of the house.

Kerri and Heather measured more than once to make certain the blinds would fit as they were supposed to and brought to my attention anything that would change the look of the fit. I looked at several samples and options. I knew what I wanted… I still wanted the view and the protection from heat and cold. More than once they told me that they did not want to sell me something that wouldn’t cover my needs and wants. They wanted me to be happy and satisfied with the product, whatever I chose.

Their care and attention to detail is second to none. The blinds arrived and were installed in timely fashion.  There was no mess left behind and Kelly is a master at installation.

During the time of ordering the blinds, Kerri also helped me choose paint colors and understood my style. I like earth tones and soft colors; at no time did I feel she was influencing my choices with her own personal preferences. I couldn’t be happier with the look and feel of the house with the new blinds and wall colors. I have had numerous compliments on how the blinds look on the inside and out. The window coverings throughout the house modernize it and bring the look into this decade of decorating without the feeling that it could ever be outdated. My husband’s biggest concern was heat loss in the winter or increased temperature during the summer. There is no doubt, in the short time we have had the blinds installed, we can tell the blinds definitely make a difference in the hot and cold through the windows.

I look forward to my daughter building her new home and have encouraged her to talk to Made in the Shade about her window coverings.
